Connect2Youth is a fun and engaging leadership event designed to inspire teenagers aged 13-16 into leadership roles. The event will be run on the Manawatū Massey University campus on the 26th of August and there are a number of staff and students involved in the organising and running of this programme.
The Connect2Youth project team were formed as part of the Massey University Future Leaders scholarship group. It consists of five committed Massey students meet regularly to plan and organise this event.
The Massey University students who are in this project team and those who will be part of the event are keen to build their own leadership skills for their futures. This project has provided them with the opportunity to gain ‘real-world’ experience in project management.
