Yesterday the facilitator met with the project group for the initial project meeting. The initial meeting was approached slightly differently than usual because of the amount of people attending and because the project was a joint project between two Massey services (Chaplaincy & Student Health and Counselling).
The facilitator prepared an agenda for the meeting that would help bring everyone onto the same page, give a clear context of the idea, establish key elements to the project and give a clear direction of where to from here.
From the submission of the project there are a couple of different agenda's coming through. To prevent this from becoming an issue further down the project each person at this meeting was asked to introduce themselves, say why they are here, and say one aspiration they have for the project.
The team established to meet up fortnightly and next meeting they would have the beginnings of a survey to put out to students, along with some research into where their idea is happening at and outside of Massey.
About the project
To provide a generous and caring community space for all Massey students. This space will focus on giving the individual a chance to become silent, to be mindful and to have a space to relax purposefully. This will also aim to be an educational space focusing on emotional regulation, managing stress and spiritual enlightenment.
